These Stylish Tote Bags are made by patching together very old vintage embroidery textiles.  The Banjara Tribes (hence the name of these bags are referred to as Banjara Bags) is a community of nomadic people from the Indian state of Rajasthan. The Banjara are sometimes called the “Gypsies of India".
The women spent months making these embroidery textiles.  These vintage textiles are made by a labor intensive, very time consuming attention to detail by these small tribal nomadic tribes.  The tribe now patches together pieces of these textiles together to make the Banjara Bags.  These vintage textiles are becoming scarce and the designs are rare to find.   This Gypsy detailed style of embroidery is becoming a lost art among the women of the Banjara tribes so they must resort to finding the older pieces of the textile to make these tote bags. Many types of fabric are used to make these bags.  These are “One of a Kind” bags.
The amazingly, beautiful Gypsy style bags have returned to become a favorite of trendy fashionable ladies and celebrities.  The Bohemian style of the 60s hippies is very fashionable again.  Tribal Designs by Neela has a varied selection of the Boho styles.
This is a “New” vintage bag but maybe made from older antique materials so it may have small flaws, worn spots or have started to show some general wear.
There may be slight imperfections, some irregularities or variations in shape and size, possible small imperfection like cracked and missing mirror and possible old stains and loose stitching, etc.   These give the bag its character and style no two are alike.  This piece looks like you've had it most of your cherished life.  For this reason, we must require that all sales be final..no returns.  We want you to be happy with your purchase so please ask any questions, if you are unsure about anything, before you purchase.

Dependent on the lighting and the quality of your computer monitor, the photos are only an estimate of the actual colors and maybe not exactly as shown. We attempt to include many photos with different light settings so the customer can get a feel for the actual colors. The bright color of the close-up photos is due to the off lighting or back light and are not the true color in natural light.  The full view shots are also done in shadow and are a more realistic view of the true color in natural light.  The colors are actually far more vivid and deeper than the photos. In the daylight or bright lights the Poncho is brightly colored and in the dark or shade it has a muted appearance...the photos can never portray the vividness of the colors and detail of the design.
